(Washington, D.C) Internal records from Department of the Air Force revealed that in 2022, officials sought to negotiate a contract with an AI tech company, Smarter Reality LLC, to develop an AI chatbot that Air Force service members could use to practice having “difficult conversations” with people from diverse backgrounds. The stated goal of the virtual chatbot was to help the Air Force prepare for a more diverse future, more evidence of how the Air Force under Biden fixated on DEI and other trendy lefty political agendas.

According to the records, this $750,000 contract was purposefully designed to essentially help U.S. Air Force Academy students practice talking about DEI. It was a “virtual reality experience where students can practice difficult conversations with an artificially intelligent conversational companion.” According to an Air Force slide deck found in the records, this AI chatbot would be the “proposed solution” to “cadets and junior personnel” struggling with “conducting difficult conversations related to honor, diversity and inclusion and leadership and discipline.”

The company called this AI chatbot the “Conflict Resolution Simulator” (CRS) and said, “The USAF Academy can use CRS to address sex assault and harassment, honor violations, and cadet leadership, ensuring that ‘leaders at all levels are championing healthy climates.’”

The Air Force alleged that “existing ‘role play’ is insufficient practice for rising leaders to lead the diverse force of the future,” thereby “requiring” this contract. Then-USAF Academy Superintendent Lieutenant General Richard M. Clark, in support of this DEI chatbot, even stated:

“The [Simulator] provides the Center for Character and Leadership Development with a dialogue driven trainer that uses a blend of virtual reality, natural language processing and voice recognition to empower [our cadets] to improve communication and collaboration by privately rehearsing simulated mission-essential conversations with an artificially intelligence virtual companion.”

Roderick Law, spokesman for FGI, issued the following statement:

“The fact the United States Air Force sought to develop an AI chatbot to help indoctrinate impressionable Air Force cadets into a DEI agenda just proves how detrimental the Biden administration was to our Armed Forces’ ability to protect Americans. The United States military is the most lethal fighting force on the planet, and it would be detrimental to the nation’s security if our military was preoccupied with progressive political fads that distract from mission readiness.”
